[Why Hiiro is EF(S) ESFJ (new & improved)] ↳ 1/9 Hello again Hiiro page viewers. I'm well aware that I'm probably the only one who cares, however it's been a few months since my previous argument and I've learnt a lot since then so I'd like to expand on EF(S) and ESFJ Hiiro. This was written as a counterargument. I'll start by defining Se and Fi, then Fe and Si, and explain why FeSi fits Hiiro best (I included inf Ti & tert Ne so this doubles as an MBTI argument. My argument aligns better with Jungian, but my phrasing is weird to fit MBTI like EF = Fe which it doesn't) and finally I will counter the specific points made in the argument. I will be quoting descriptions from Van der Hoop, who studied and elaborated on Jung's work. ↝ Extroverted Sensing ↜ Se relies entirely on reality. They are instinctive beings, not driven to ponder matters of morality nor logic. They tend to seek out any kind of interesting sensation, and find their enjoyment in the outside world. They are also traditionalists, but only because it provides a stable reality, not because they have a personal stake in traditional ideals. ╰┈➤ "Facts perceived through the senses remain for people of this type the only reality. They never linger over reflections and principles; they are, to an extreme degree, realists. Nor do they feel any need to evaluate their experiences in any systematic way, but their reactions drive them from one sensation to the next." Hiiro has proven several times that feeling is the most important thing in his life, and not just any feeling, but value judgements. He judges everything as acceptable or not acceptable, rather than just letting things be. This contradicts with dominant se realism, which suppresses anything that can't be purely sensed. Also, he is constantly evaluating the present as compared to the past, which would not be applicable to Se which views the object for what it is. > “I feel as if there is a large gap between my reaction to the word “SS” and the reaction of other idols. It feels like a wall — a divide — between us.” (Satellite) > “I wonder about that. Compared to my house back in my hometown, it’s quite cramped here, and compared to the park I have been lodging at, this place lacks spaciousness as well…” (Main Story) > “I see. It's something like a monarchy then, isn't it? My own hometown was much the same – So compared to the “Land of Idols” that is ES, which is so chaotic that I can’t hope to understand it in the slightest, I am much more familiar with that.” (Main Story) ╰┈➤ "For the sake of some special sensation, they will take up all kinds of things which otherwise would not interest them. For people of this type are not satisfied with a simple pursuit of instinctual gratification. They seek intense and unusual sensations, and by no means only those which are pleasant and easily attained." While I can agree that Hiiro is obviously a sensor and very physically playful, he barely fits the pure sensory seeking of se dominance. Se doesn't attach meaning and feelings to their experiences, nor does it wish to calmly repeat the same old ones. In fact, Hiiro is avoidant of unpleasant experiences, and is just looking to have a happy life through the collection of heartfelt experiences. > “I’ll have the omurice!” Mayoi: “Fufu, you get that almost every day, don’t you?” (White Lily) > “How long are ya gonna cling to those old values?” [Rinne] asked me. But I’ve been taught that those values are right. If I only ever do what’s right, I won’t have a single problem in my life, and I should be able to live a peaceful life until the day I die.” (Main Story) > “They exerted such incredible pressure—I felt as though they gripped the very core of my soul just by witnessing their singing forms up close.” (Main Story) > "As far as the composition table shows, it seems that except for stimulating the taste buds they would only be harmful to the body so, I would like only the meat with nothing added!" (Main Story) > "Both of you are used to this, while I'm overwhelmed by the buzzing atmosphere that only these venues have - - I might just be a little nervous." (Main Story) ╰┈➤ "The phrase “matter-of fact” describes this attitude very clearly. They fight somewhat shy of ideals. They stick to experience, are empiricists par excellence, and are in general conservative in their practical life, if they see no prospect of advantage in change." You might be able to argue that the conservatism aspect fits here, but you certainly can't suggest that Hiiro is shy of ideals. He is incredibly moralistic and passionate, and doesn’t like to do things that aren’t clearly connected to idealistic or friendly behaviour. I’ll expand on this in the Fe and Fi sections later. > “I am a bit nervous. As long as I stand on the stage of SS as an idol, I shouldn’t be the only one in such a flustered state. It’s as if I’ve been thrown into a battlefield without understanding what we’re fighting for." (Satellite) [cont]
