What personality type is Jang Tae-Sang? Jang Tae-Sang is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sp/so - in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
I've only watched until the second episode, so I can't say much. But so far, what's most obvious from the get-go is his Fi blind (7th slot): - He easily changes his principles. During his conversation with Chae Ok, he initially stated that he didn't do low-level work but later changed it when he deemed it necessary. When Chae Ok questioned why, he explained that he needs to be flexible because he's a businessman. - In a scene where he questioned and logically analyzed why he felt worried about Chae Ok without understanding why, he concluded the reason was 'humanism' in the end. He tried to explain his feelings with Ti because he genuinely had no idea why he felt that way. I also want to add the difference between the inferior (4th) and the blind spot (7th). For the inferior, you tend to avoid, despise, or find it silly because it is directly in opposition to your strongest and most reliable function, the dominant function. On the other hand, with the blind spot (7th), you are literally blind to it, lacking knowledge on how to use it, and instead, you compensate for this blindness with your 2nd function. In Tae Sang's case, I don't see him actively trying to avoid his feelings. Instead, it seems he genuinely has no idea about them, perceiving them as a foreign realm. So he approached the situation with curiosity and attempted to explain the more complex feelings using his logic. Regarding Ne over Se, I haven't seen much Ne, but I believe he doesn't use Se. While Chae Ok (which I think is an Se user) prefers to act without a plan, he stopped her and mentioned she was reckless, emphasizing the need for planning first. I think the ability to respond (through action) immediately to what's happening around you indicates Se. On the other hand, Ne is great for generating ideas in the moment but not necessarily for immediate action. It's understandable if an Ne user wants to at least see what they're going to do first.
