Ekko MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Ekko? Ekko is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/so - 784 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.

ENTP might be the wildest mistype I've seen for an ISFP, even by PDb standards. Se > Ne — He's hardly even curious about the world around him, and doesn't preoccupy himself with making sense of his surroundings beyond what is strictly necessary. He reacts dynamically and viscerally to his surroundings; a hallmark of Se. Fi > Ti — His emotional reactions are just as visceral as his physical ones. If anything, they're more pronounced. He struggles deeply with the reality of his situation throughout all of ep 7, and has an especially hard time processing it without projecting his judgments and preconceptions, to the point where he acts tactless ("Didn't you try to kill him!?") in social situations. He is not led by a need to explore this alternate reality, but by engaging with people within it. Most notably, people he already knows and loves. His complete disinterest in exploring the world in any capacity is about as far as you can possibly get from Ne as well as Ti. Fi > Se — The reason that Ekko struggles to make sense of his changing surroundings (Powder's personality, Vi's death, Vander's forgiveness) is because he can't operate on his old (leading Fi) assumptions anymore. For Ekko, any discrepancy between expectation vs reality feels so profound that it throws him completely off-balance. (and frankly, the differences he seems the most confused about, like Silco being forgiven, are arguably some of the least surprising ones) Basically, it's clear that Ekko's struggles center around his inability to reconcile his personal values with a world that is suddenly incompatible with them. Each time he encounters a new thing that he is forced to reconcile, his reactions are raw, unfiltered, and at times impolite because they come so quickly. Ekko is a perfect example of an ISFP, and a stereotypical one at that. *** Feel free to skip this, but below is my reasoning for excluding other possible dom/aux functions. (...besides Ni, just because it gives me a headache) Lack of Si — No tendency to reflect on the differences between the timelines. What differences he is forced to confront and adapt to is exactly that; forced. Lack of Fe — He adapts especially poorly when it comes to the new social arena. He is so thrown off-balance by social change and is so reactive that his behaviour almost read as self-sabotage, or at the very least embarrassing. He has no forethought as to how he's gonna come across when he opens his mouth. Weak Te — Ekko spends minimal energy determining why this timeline is different from his own. In fact, when Heimerdinger gives him an explanation ("Hextech was never invented here") Ekko takes it at face value and runs with it. He doesn't reflect on or care for an explanation of the events that led to this particular outcome, and the core of Te is the desire to apply and understand consequence. Ekko does have Te, but it's largely restricted to his interest in creating machines. Selective utilization is why I would argue that Te is at the bottom of his stack.
