Personality

What personality type is Ganondorf? Ganondorf is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sx/so - 835 in Enneagram, RLOEN in Big 5, in Socionics.

EDIT : IDK ANYMORE, I guess you can argue at least three different typings Finished the story, not a really complex character to understand. Not the same Ganondorf as the classical OOT He's not an 8. I am far more inclined to see him as a Sx1,So2, maybe even Sp7 to some extent. He is barely sensory oriented and focused on immediate intensity as much as a 8 does. He comes off as Sp8ish but unlike E8's lust his anger is focused towards bigger metaphysical structures that are long-term rewarding ( Reshaping the kingdom to his vision, exploiting the power of the zonai by getting close to Rauru ) I can absolutely see 8 fix if he is not a E1. I will shift to Sp8 if we explore in later content his motivations and if it involves a some form of survival tribal oriented darwinism. "E1 Sexual – Vehemence/Zeal Oscar Ichazo used the Spanish noun cello (zeal) in reference to the characteristic passion of the sexual, and this is a word that has a double meaning. When speaking of an animal in heat (that is, in the estrus phase), the word denotes great sexual excitement; In reference to personality, when we talk about doing things with zeal, we mean something similar to care, care, dedication or fervor. Thus, it is understood that heat, in its broadest sense, is something analogous to the intensity with which the animal in heat seeks the object of its instinct. We would say that a sexual E1 is characterized by a special intensity of their desires that makes them urgent, vehement. If we want to understand why anger in the sexual sphere results in this jealousy, we can say that anger potentiates desire by lending it its aggressiveness. In other words, anger gives any desire a special strength and intensity, so that the person feels not only strongly drawn toward its satisfaction, but feels entitled to it." This right here really resonates with the character, the idea that E1 is about being moral and justice oriented is wrong. E1 are the angriest type and no matter to what system they adhere, they will find outer imperfection based on criterias deemed objectives which lead them to a path of visceral need for reshape the environment to these criterias and SX1 is the subtype that aggressively apply force to shape it. This is why they are always mistyped as E8. E8 are angry but not focused on control and reshaping the environment to their vision, they're focused on possessing it physically and discharging lust and intensity in the object. To some extent, SX1 are not as different as E8, the fundamental point that makes Ganondorf the first is that despite being a king of thieves, he is still in need to enforce a criteria and system on his environment. E1 can be bandits E8 can be cops ( bad cops ). And in case, you're doubting the power-seeking nature of SX1 not being necessarily a righteous lawful ideal : "The result is a type that is characterized by a strong spirit of domination and conquest. I will explain it with a collective behavior: when the emerald or diamond mines in South Africa were only exploited by Europeans, many objected that this was not fair, since such wealth belonged to Africans. However, many people—completely convinced—replied: “what good is it going to do for them? They have no culture!” And it seemed obvious to them that it was the Europeans to whom the diamonds belonged in view of their civilized character—which contrasted with the supposedly barbaric character of the primitives. The same thing happened with the Spanish conquerors, who in the name of their very Christian emperor felt authorized to take the gold from the Aztecs or the Incas. Similarly, some people feel more entitled than their neighbors to the good things in life, to the satisfaction of their desires or even to exploitative behavior. And in this there is not only vehemence of desires, but an illusory and exculpatory conviction that this satisfaction justifies aggressive acts."
