What personality type is Slim Shady? Slim Shady is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sx/sp - 874 in Enneagram, SLUEI in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
We don't really have a lot of arguments for neither ESTP or ENTP, but in cases like this one there's an inclination to vote according to stereotypes. Also, a lot of the Se dom votes I'm seeing are just stereotypes too if you think about it lmao, the argument that "he lives in the moment and doesn't care about other's opinions" could literally be applied to Ne doms too. Now, stereotypes are something superficial since they literally don't dive into cognitive functions at all, but instead give the later ones a common pattern that people tend to associate in order to try and type someone. Slim Shady is one of Eminem's alter-egos, and because of that we can only try and type this persona out of quotes and even snippets of what said rapper has said in given interviews (I recommend watching the 1999 one, it's rlly interesting and "Proof" is also there) __________ From the song "The real Slim Shady": "I'm like a head trip to listen to, 'cause I'm only givin' you things you joke about with your friends" His ramble in this song and, at a given point, trying to explain a certain topic completely unrelated and throwing random comparisons out of nowhere makes me think of the common Ne dom structure, the individual forms an opinion or tries to get their point across based on the current events and his environment, pointing out things that seem to spontaneously form inside their heads. I see Si inf too, but that would be a vague observation based solely on the song, which would be one of the sources we have. The concerts itself could show either Ne or Se: I see both, that impulsiveness is typical of both perceptive functions, not only Ne. The later shows more impulsiveness towards the talk itself, meanwhile Se manifests in taking part into physical activities. That's why I lean more towards a Ne dom. The problem is.. we really can't analyze this character further than that. I mean, one of the important characteristics of cognitive functions is that the individual presents a thinking pattern that stays similar through time: how can we know that in the case of Slim Shady, who is a "fictional" persona rather than a real person whom we could actually analyze his cognition throughout time? We only have a general picture of what he would be. Eminem, being an ISTP, created a character that would "channel" his thoughts. The idea of the persona itself seems like a depiction of a really blunt ENTP, so I see why the doubt between two types. His assertiveness doesn't necessarily mean he's an ESTP, that's a trait common to both Se and Ne doms. I see it more due to his enneagram 8, that's what makes him so blunt imo. Also, I recommend watching a video called "Difference between Eminem and Slim Shady" by Comment Box. One of my faves tbh, love Eminem and how he managed to represent himself in all of his songs.
