ANALYSIS OF DAVID MARTINEZ ESTP I had some difficulty typing this character, mainly because he's very complicated, but I think it's more clear that he's just an Estp that defies stereotypes of the normal Estp. Se dominant: David is a very present minded guy. He doesn't really think much about the future or any abstract meaning towards his own life or the world in general. Everything he does is through his senses. He wants to enjoy the world through his own senses and what he can get out of it. For David, experiencing the world and all he can get is what makes life worth living. David is also shown to be extremely quick on his own feet. Very active and can easily adapt himself into the present moment with a snap. Every problem he deals with is what he sees as a present problem rather than any future problems. Ti auxiliary: David is a very logical person. We can see it in the way he talks to his mom and others. He's curious about other people and the decisions they make: trying to understand the rationale behind it. He asks Lucy why she keeps her cardio up when there's not much need for it. He questions her mother's decision to keep him in school because he knows he won't fit in. He easily comes up with logical decisions based on his own rationale (usually deals with other people). Fe tertiary: David has pretty healthy Fe. Easily susceptible to the group values and automatically tries to adapt himself to those values. He doesn't really have any values of his own, and tries to basically fit in with the values that are placed on him by any society he is put in. Even in school you could see him trying to adapt even though he was failing to do so. Ni inferior: Not really seen anywhere. To be honest the guy doesn't really seem to care about any abstract of metaphorical concepts. He just lives life in the present and then continues to do so.
Biography
David Martinez is an edgerunner and former highschool student. He is the main protagonist of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. He lived with his mother in the Santo Domingo district of Night City and attended the prestigious Arasaka Academy despite him and his mother's financial struggles, which made him not fit in well with the rest of his more privileged classmates - a fact that he was very aware of. After his mother is killed in a gang-related driving accident, David turns to a life of crime and becomes an edgerunner with Lucy and the rest of Maine's crew. He is shown to have a high tolerance for cybernetic implants - a notable example being the Sandevistan he uses throughout the series without many major side effects. He is very protective of the people he holds dear and vows to fight for the dreams of others, even if it means risking his life in the process.
