What personality type is Vex'ahlia? Vex'ahlia is an ESTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - sx/sp - 863 in Enneagram, in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
(Minor spoilers for season 2) In season 2, we see more of Vex's past, and especially her relationship with her father. She tried and failed to get his approval, yet she still hopes to impress him, despite having left long ago. For me, this is a dead give away for enneagram type 3. In the Fae realm, her e3's inner feelings of worthlessness led her to fall under an enchantment centered on the promise of making everything right, receiving the attention and acceptance her father failed to give her. Real love is what allowed her to free herself and fight back. I don't know if Vex was a type 8 in the original campaign, but the show clearly sets her out as a 3.
Biography
Vex'ahlia, nicknamed Vex, is a half-elf ranger / rogue member of Vox Machina. She was played by Laura Bailey. Born in Byroden, she and her twin brother Vax'ildan were raised there by their mother Elaina until they were taken to live in the elven city of Syngorn at the direction of their father, Syldor Vessar. She and Vax'ildan were unhappy, and left in their early adulthood to be on their own. In their travels, Vax'ahlia rescued a bear cub, Trinket, gaining a loyal animal companion.
