What personality type is Be an Artist (Thinkers)? Be an Artist (Thinkers) is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sx/sp - 541 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
Of all comment sections this has got to be the most ridiculous one I’ve come across. NTP voters are voting for themselves when they happen to be artists, instead of looking at the spectrum. I can count on one hand the amount of NTP musicians or visual artists I know. People confuse creativity with artistry. Creativity can be applied in the sciences as well, it’s a matter of ingenuity and imaginative exploration, and NTPs of course can be tremendously creative in these areas. But they’re most creative when it’s detached from the self and subjectivities. They’re usually more scientifically or mechanically creative. From my experience, funnily enough NTPs are by a large margin the least prevalent among artists. Artistry on the other hand involves creativity of self expression, which is very strongly related to an awareness and strength of Fi. Out of all the thinkers, IxTJs have the strongest grip of this function. But besides that, INTJs lead with quite literally the most imaginative function of all, plus an attachment to Fi. Ni as a function creates an internal imaginative blueprint and seeks external representation. The process of artistry in general is much more Se-Ni than Ne-Si. This is why I would put ISTPs next. But in this case the INTJ is by far the most likely to be an artist of all thinkers. If you don’t see that many it’s because in general there are not many INTJs. But the proportions are very very strong. Especially among musicians.
