What personality type is Be a Cat Person? Be a Cat Person is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - 549 in Enneagram, RCUEI in Big 5, in Socionics.
Cats are relatable to us INTJs, we’re both viewed as cold but can often be otherwise and are generally misunderstood. Plus, I see dogs as more of an extrovert type pet since they are more energetic and playful like an extrovert type (or maybe even a Pe introvert) and require walks, which are probably more suited to an extrovert type who’s naturally inclined to leave the house more, and a feeling type pet since they’re friendlier than and require more care and nurturing than a relatively self sufficient and aloof cat. Cats also contrast dogs by being more quiet, toned down and suited to an at home introvert lifestyle, making them ideal pets for pretty much any introvert, but primarily IXTJ. For socionics I would say SLI or SEI because owning a stay at home pet fits well with the whole creating physical, material harmony in the environment around you part of Si base, and I would also say an attitudinal psyche 1F type for the same reason. Enneagram I could see any withdrawn type for the reasons of being a stay at home pet, low maintenance and a type which avoids humans when troubled could prefer to turn to an animal instead, but the extremely withdrawn and boundary orientated true introvert sp 5 fits very well, along with the triple withdrawn tritype.
