I think he lies somewhere in between [completely function-based typing] and [16p generalizations]. I like the dude and I think he is funny in a geeky way. But he also falls into stereotypes sometimes. Dark Side of & Inside the Mind of series: I think these are the least methodological videos he has done. They are a simple introduction to individual types and mentions cognitive functions to some extent, but they encourage some amount of behavioral-stereotype-based typing which might be misleading. Relies on too many anecdotes (his lazy ENTP roommate, ISFJ grandmother etc.) The new cognitive function videos: I think these ones are spot on, hope he continues with this style. Pretty solid intro to functions and also explains how they behave in different slots. If you are trying to figure out your type I think these would be more helpful than his "inside the mind of" videos. His comedy videos are phenomenal. Ranking videos are also too stereotypical. I hope he gets more popular than that James Frank dude.
