whoops! wrote too much! plz see replies for the whole thing :] i've been thinking about Tamao a lot lately and i've come to the conclusion that tamao is 1w9 instead of 9w1. i'd like to preface i'm writing this while arcana hasn't been officially translated and we're only 9 episodes in. tamao has always been motivated by her goals. she joined rinmeikan because of her family's history. she was the one who reached out to fumi and ichie in downfall to try and get the performance department back. she was the one who waged war against the other schools if it meant being able to get the performance department back. type 9s are described by enneagram institute as as "Want to create harmony in their environment, to avoid conflicts and tension, to preserve things as they are, to resist whatever would upset or disturb them." i honestly don't find her desperate want to bring back the performance department, especially how they still have an association, very reminiscent of how i understand type 9s. On the other hand, type 1s are described as "responsible and serious-minded pragmatists. They want to find purpose in their lives, in particular the ability to improve the welfare of people and make things better for the greater good." by truity. to me, this sounds a lot like tamao, especially regarding her recent actions. This becomes more apparent when you include another quote from truity on 1s, "To do this, they use their best judgment to find solutions that can be applied in the real world. They have a deep appreciation and interest in ethics, and frequently spend time evaluating and adjusting their moral compass as necessary."
Biography
Tamao Tomoe (巴 珠緒, Tomoe Tamao) is a character in the Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight franchise, original to Re:LIVE. She is a second-year student from the Performance Department at Rinmeikan Girls School. Good-natured and kind to everyone, this Stage Girl is imbued with traditional Japanese ideals. She strives daily to uphold the school's traditions and its precepts of Strength, Kindness, and Beauty. Her mother and grandmother both graduated from Rinmeikan Girls School, giving her a unique fondness for the school.
