Hi here to explain why I believe Nana's a 9w1! Someone already put a really nice explanation below so you can check that out. I'll just be here adding some stuff I wanna share :) My english is not the best, as in I might repeat the same words a lot cause my vocab isn't the best, but anyways. This'll be super long so just sit back & enjoy  First of all, let's start with the 9's childhood wounds. > "For an E9, the wounding message of 'It’s not ok to assert yourself or rock the boat' and 'The needs and feelings of others matter more than yours' is learned in a childhood where the child was overlooked or neglected and felt unimportant or 'lost.'" * During middle school, Nana wasn't able to create a stage with anyone. She didn't know how it felt to be 'apart of something.' She joined the drama club, but everyone was always busy and had other activities. Anyone who joined ended up leaving because of that, which led to Nana being all alone. She was disappointed, but she did not complain. * "No, I understand. Everyone has activities that are more important to them, after all." * Giving up on asserting her own needs/wants, and coped with it by going with the mindset that other people's feelings mattered more, that there was nothing she could do about it, and therefore neglected her desires and what she really wanted just to not cause burden or 'rocking the boat.' * (Note that we have no information about Nana's parents and how she was treated as a child at the moment.) > "Nines are defined by their desire to maintain a sense of inner peace and harmony, and to avoid conflict or other emotional disturbances. They are typically agreeable, calm, and easy to be around. Nines rarely rock the boat, but they can be stubborn."  * The basic description of Enneagram 9 already suits Nana's character a lot. As we all know, Nana's the mom friend, peacemaker, etc of the group and always doing her best and taking care of everyone, to maintain the peaceful environment she always loves. The reason she did what she did in the anime was so she could protect that peace which she loves forever and protect everyone from having to move forward and deal with unexpected feelings of frustration, sadness, etc that could cause change and conflict which she fears, a lot, as she thinks it would lead to separation. * Out of all subtypes, I think she's most like the Social 9 because of how hardworking she is for the group. Her idle line ingame is literally "I'm trying my best to support everyone!" And her wanting to 'protect everyone' just seriously resembles the Social 9's strength of always fighting for the needs of everyone.  > "The Social Nine’s need to participate comes from their deeper feeling of not belonging to the group. This feeling drives the Social Nine to overcompensate by being generous and sacrificing whatever is necessary to meet the needs of the group as a way of earning membership. They have an intense need to feel that they are a part of things, because they don’t feel that they are. They feel like they have to do something extra in order to be included in a group, so they work twice as hard to support the group to make sure they belong."  * In the 'Banana Cafe' chapter of the Overture Manga, Nana is seen helping everyone with their problems by giving them advice, sympathizing with them and baking them sweets to motivate them. "As long as everyone's happy, I'd like to always be useful to them." This quote of hers literally shows the fact that she wants to do her best, support everyone, as a way to feel like she is apart and be of some use to the group and her friends. Later on, she started thinking about how everyone else has their own special people to them and other things to do that are more important to them, which made her feel alone (not feeling a sense of belonging even though she's already doing her best, which is a common trait of Social 9s) because she felt like she didn't have anything like that. Junna in the chapter later on cheers Nana up by reminding her that she's always there for her, and this made Nana realize she isn't alone after all. * It's shown multiple times in canon how Nana was alone a lot back then in middle school and barely had strong connections with other people, so receiving appreciation and gratitude from others after working hard for everyone brings a lot of comfort to Nana because it feels like she is actually a part of the group, which means so much to her and is something she's always wanted to feel: "To feel belonged." > "They have an ability to bear a lot, sometimes to the extent that they become a “human punching bag.” These Nines give of themselves unconditionally as a response to a deeper (sometimes unconscious) fear of abandonment, conflict, separation, and the potential loss of peace and harmony."
