What personality type is Shu Iura? Shu Iura is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - so/sx - 729 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
As soon as his dual personality at home thing was revealed I couldn't help but come over here and see what he's typed as, because I am literally just like him. Jk, my hair is not green. yet. There are not many good arguments for his type, so here's my take. You may think Fe is obvious, that he clearly displays it by acting differently in different situations. But in Iura's case, I think Fi makes more sense. If he felt stifled, or was always being told he was annoying, too loud, or too emotional at home, then it he might begin masking his Fi with Te as a defense mechanism. Through this lens, his home persona is an Fi emotional response. He acts in line with how he feels. An Fe user might be more likely to act friendly and nice all around, in order to please people, or minimize conflict. An Fe user might talk the same way to someone they like as to someone they despise. If an EXFP's Fi is hurt or they feel threatened or rejected, they can use their Te as a defense mechanism. ( ahem, scaring Sawada repeatedly ). And when he feels like more emotional tact than he is capable of is needed, like with his sister, he gets Hori to help. Both Se and Ne doms can be spontaneous class-clown types, but thus far, I think Se with inferior Ni makes more sense than the alternative. When he saw Sawada down the hall, he realized she was taking the heavy box to the science lab, and knowing it was far, he helped her because he didn't want her to be late for class. That seems very Se-Ni to me. Well, I came on here think he was ENTP, but convinced myself he's actually ESFP in the 15 minutes I took writing this. Fantastic show all around. First anime I've seen in which I'm interested in and actively root for every single character. The writing is just that good.
