Sage MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Sage? Sage is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - so/sp - 514 in Enneagram, RCUEI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.

I get the impression people simply judged the archetype by its title, as in “Sage.” If there is a figure of wisdom, people automatically see this as some kind of INFJ. I do know some myself, as an odd magnet for them, and encountered a lot in the typing community — but I don’t think they enjoy much of the pressure of being this mystical perfect wise type of figure. Often they do care, and try to show they care, but they often lack the wisdom to offer more solutions on how to solve the problem. People seem to think of them as almost holy being so rare, with Ni being so mysterious, and Fe being seen as automatically good, though INFJs are more often than not flawed human beings like everyone else. People seem to think that INTPs - Ti/Ne only features some kind of book smarts, though often more mature INTPs excel in the type of existential questions and philosophy about life. The truth is wisdom is not really about what feels comforting, but what is the brutal truth of what you need to grow. Much of the flaws of INFJs giving supposedly wise counsel from my experience is the people pleasing involved with advice, even if neglecting certain honest truths will hurt or even severely endanger someone in the long term. Wisdom about life isn’t sunshine and rainbows, essentially because life can be very unfair, and much more dark than conventional self help gurus tell you it is.

Biography

You can end up becoming too involved with the information you find and end up forgetting to act, or the rest of the world.
