Like 10 years ago you could've posted literally anything on twitter that was not in a direct violation of the law, only the most fcked up gore or bullying or something like that would be deleted. Nowadays you can lose your job, bank can terminate your mortgage, you can be kicked out of school, your children can be taken aways from you etc. Just because you posted some offensive joke years ago and BPD teen with a blue hair chooses to cancel you and asocial mob will get you, your colleagues, friends, coworkers, relatives and destroy your life for some absurd bullsht.
