ESFP 7w6 sx/so’d… rather not say. MBTI — Se-Fi-Te-Ni —> Se-Ni: I feel that Bumblebee was most likely focused on maintaining a “direct relationship to the world via physical sensation”, having been “adventurous” and “adaptable”. — In “Nanosec” (Season 1), Bumblebee might’ve have demonstrated his recklessness, sure, but on the other servo, he demonstrated his naturally adaptable connection to his immediate surroundings by taking advantage of his turbo boosters to tire out the episode’s namesake antagonist. —> Se-Fi: I feel that Bumblebee was strong in being “authentic, accepting of all feelings and emotions” and was very “understanding”. — Such was demonstrated in “The Return of the Headmaster” (Season 2) when Bumblebee was trying to appeal to what he understood about and identified with Sari’s emotions given her bad lot in life, but then realized the value of Prowl’s advice to simply be present and listen to what Sari herself was actually going through. —> Fi-Te: I feel that Bumblebee at times struggled with taking “the easier/safe/inauthentic path instead of the right path”, having been “stubborn”. — Such might have come up in “Where is Thy Sting?” (Season 3), when Optimus Prime tried to set Bumblebee’s priorities straight, but Bumblebee himself was a bit territorial and resistant about how he went about spending his time, which ultimately ended up getting him into shambles. ENNEAGRAM — 7w6 sx/so —> Type 7: I feel as if Bumblebee struggled with believing that he didn’t have to deal with the “mundane details of life” and possibly made “a virtue of [his] irresponsibility”. — I feel that “Nature Calls” (Season 1) was a testament to Bumblebee’s potential addiction to stimulation as he struggled to keep his manic energy contained without a “fix” to keep himself entertained with, thus his panic when he couldn’t access his media entertainment. —> Wing 6: Even with his having possibly been “more openly anxious and ungrounded” with a “Six wing”, Bumblebee still demonstrated strengths in being “charming” and “engaging”. — In the flashbacks of “Autoboot Camp”, despite previously dismissing Bulkhead, Bumblebee demonstrated a newfound trust for his friend and took it upon himself to be responsible for the incident with the then rear-exhaust-port-for-a-processor Sentinel Minor. —> sx/so: From the source I’m referencing for Enneagram’s Instincts, Russ Hudson nicknamed the “SX7” as “The Neophile”, as in “the lover of the new”, and I feel such applies well to Bumblebee as he sought “the novel in experience”. — This could be a stretch, but in “Predacons Rising” (Season 3), Optimus Prime advised Bumblebee to apologize to Wasp for his being falsely accused, rather than making up excuses, when could have been indicative of Bumblebee’s lacking accountability per his Self-Preservation Blindspot (Not meaning to suggest that a Self-Preservation Blindspot automatically predisposes somebody to being irresponsible, I just meant to theorize that it was how it manifested for Bumblebee). SOURCES —> Bumblebee: https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bumblebee_(Animated) —> MBTI: https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/theory —> Enneagram: https://oceanmoonshine9.wordpress.com/sevens/ —> Enneagram’s Instincts: https://www.docdroid.net/QTXfwgk/hudson-subtypes-pdf#page=23 LINGERING THOUGHTS —> I think an interesting comparison could be made between the possible inferior functions of Sari Sumdac and Bumblebee with the both of them being Pe-Ji users— the former contended with an insecurity of things changing and thus losing her base for ideal possibilities, whereas the latter struggled with attaching more consistent meaning to his bouncing between “highs”. —> I feel that Animated Bumblebee was a very good demonstration of the Wing 6 component of Type 7 as he was primarily fun-loving and sensation-seeking, but still had a very real trait of projecting adverse possibilities and concern about insurmountable risks. —> Hey! He’s *their* dipstick! Thanks.
