What personality type is Riz? Riz is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sx/sp - 594 in Enneagram, RLOAN in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.
Riz is definitely INFJ, si has nothing to do with being ‘’past oriented’’ or wanting to keep the memories with Tem he holds closely to his heart with him. Without mentioning that said memories are a twisted perception of how things really went due to the guilt he felt for killing his bestfriend. He believes that Tem not only consented to being eaten, but was actually happy about it. Later on he views the act of eating as a "celebration of life" and believes the most honest friendship a carnivore and herbivore can have is one where one devours the other. This is a very clear example of Riz viewing the immediate situation as a prison from which escape is urgently necessary and aims to escape through some sweeping change in the subjective understanding of the objective situation, which fits introverted intuition rather than introverted sensation. His inner world of subjective impressions are focused on the metaphysical world rather than the physical one, specially considering that he lives in a delusion that he forgot it’s fake. Introverted Intuition: - Uses the objective situation in the interests of the inner understanding. - Regards the immediate situation as a prison from which escape is urgently necessary and aims to escape through some sweeping change in the subjective understanding of the objective situation. - Receives its Impetus from outer objects but is never arrested by external possibilities, being occupied rather by searching out new angles for viewing and understanding life. - May be creative in any field: artistic, literary, scientific, inventive, philosophical, or religious. - Finds self-expression difficult. - Finds its greatest value lies in the interpretation of life and the promotion of understanding. When it comes to enneagram I definitely disagree with the E4 consensus, but I also disagree with the E6 and E9 votes as well. SX5 it’s the most fitting typing for him! > ‘’Tem and i have a friendship that transcends species!’’ > ‘’I want to get closer to him, I want Tem to see the real me’’ > ‘’I delicately, and peacefully, mixed us together’’ > ‘’We should be able to understand each other’’ > ‘’He’s going to expose me, he’s going to ruin everything. He’s going to defile my friendship with Tem’’ > ‘’Tem was the only one who ever accepted me’’ + From Riz twisted perception of the incident Tem: Thats why you don’t need to hide anything anymore. We’re bestfriends, that should be obvious. Tem: That immense strength you have, is a part of how wonderful you are. I’ll accept every part of you, Riz. You don’t have to suffer anymore. As I said before, Riz is living a delusion that he forgot it’s fake. He has convinced himself that he is not the villain and that’s why he’s still able to act normally and be kindhearted without this being fake or an act. Riz is characterized by his secretiveness, introversion and solitude, he’s indeed a very private individual, as Tem was the only person who ever became close to him. Riz desired to become closer to him, he wanted Tem to see the ‘’real’’ and most genuine version of himself, he wanted to be able to trust each other unconditionally (which he already thought was the case, as he stopped taking his pills due to believing that Tem’s company cured the physical pain he was feeling, and that he wouldn’t be able to lose control with Tem) After the incident, it becomes very clear how Riz romanticizes this friendship, perceiving it as the ideal, perfect, and intimate bond where both could connect deeply! He deprives himself from making new connections with other individuals, as long as his memories with Tem stay with him everything was alright. Legoshi is a constant ‘’reality check’’ for Riz, reminding him what happened in reality, constantly reminding him that he devoured his friend. He perceives all of this as Legoshi trying to break his friendship with Tem, and he believes that anyone who tríes to break his friendship apart with Tem should be killed. If this is not how sx5s avarice manifests I don’t understand what else it could be. Typing Riz as a sexual 9 it’s simply misinterpreting the entirety of the subtype. Sx9s focus on ‘’fusion’’ and merging with the other it’s due the the need to be through other, the need to be through union with another, using the relationship to feed your being because ‘’he cannot stand on his own feet.’’ These people don’t have their own place, their own being, and therefore they want to be in the world through the other. Good examples of actual sexual 9s characters are Rei ayanami, Mamimi samejima, Hinata Hyuuga, etc. In the other hand for the E6 voters, i think Legoshi is the actual conservation 6 of the show, the only thing that I can see is his need to fully trust someone but it doesn’t seem to stem from fear + it’s something very prominent in sexual 5s.
