in my view sachi and aiko are both visualizations of what punpun could be, on opposite sides of the spectrum. they are so different from each other, aiko is a passive and troubled girl who clings to punpun as a security net, and sachi is an assertive girl who chases what she wants independently of any outside interference. punpuns arc with aiko is the unhealthiest period in his life, he's depressed, troubled, aimless. it's an existential nightmare which manifests as aiko, a visualisation of all the troubles in his life. after aiko passes, punpun moves on and turns a new page with sachi, the pinnacle of direction, drive, and self defined meaning in life. punpun realises that he has to take charge of his own life and accept that the world is never going to be perfect or ideal, which manifests as sachi. very brilliant story and beautiful art, this manga is perfect. also sachi plz marry me
