Griffith MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Griffith? Griffith is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sx - 271 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐚 𝐒𝐎𝟐 I didn't think it was necessary to make an argument about why Griffith is not SO2, but since the votes are growing and there is only one subject, I better take the opportunity. → Let’s start with what Naranjo said about Type II:”Not every type II person remembers a childhood as a happy, loved, and pampered princess or an adorable, favorite son. In some we hear a story of deprivation, and on occasion this surfaces after some therapeutic exploration. It is possible to bring the person to see how the time of becoming a little princess was preceded by one of emotional pain. In these cases it seems as if the child wanted to be specially reassured of mother’s or father’s love through being specially cared for, delighted in, and tolerated in her whims or bouts of crying. It is as if the child were saying: “Prove to me that you really love me!,” and the demand for special expression of love was essentially a reaction to having felt rejected.” Already in the first paragraph we can see that there is no trace of Griffith's character. In the chapters of Berserk on his childhood there has never been talk of his parents, much less of a hypothetical unhappiness due to this. Already in his childhood it was noticed that, despite his poverty, Griffith had found hope in finding procuring junk trinkets and regarding them as small victories. → “Hearing ennea-type II histories I have noticed something akin to a breaking of the will that seeks compensation in willfulness. Frustration is transformed in the compulsive search for freedom that characterizes this character’s intolerance for rules and boundaries.” Again, I find it difficult to see Griffith since there is no real pursuit of freedom. There is a search for a desire, which is different. The intolerance of laws and limits cannot even be used as a reference because Griffith has always been exactly the opposite. What happens with Charlotte does not tie it to a characteristic of his enneagram of him, but more to his MBTI (from my point of view, Inf Se). Moving on to how Type 2 can affect a character's childhood, we are now going to list ego ideal; fixations and passions, and defense mechanisms. → “Ego ideal is how a person wants to be perceived by self and others, an idealized self that seeks to be continuously reinforced. In a sense, the ego ideal is the aspirational self. TWOS’ Ego Ideal | The loving person | Always thoughtful and generous; never selfish or insensitive.” This is already not true. Griffith never wanted to be generous, because he didn't care. There is always the famous scene in the lake, along with Casca, in which he says that the deaths of soldiers are useful to achieve his dream of him. He is selfish. Even in the scene where Guts decides to leave, he shows himself in front of the Band of The Hawk selfish and downright desperate. Because? Because in his dream, inside his castle there is him with Guts. → “Fixations and passions are the ongoing states of functioning (mental and emotional respectively) that continuously play and replay in our Mental Center and our Emotional Center, thus fueling our emotional response patterns. TWOS’ Fixation | Flattery | Mental activity focused on how to gain acceptance through giving compliments or other forms of attention. TWOS’ Passion | Pride | Inflated or deflated self-esteem based on doing for other people and the subsequent positive or negative reactions of others.” What compliments did Griffith give to other people? Give me an example because I really can't find it. Casca has always been by his side and what he ultimately received was complete humiliation. Griffith has always been far too neutral on this. As for Pride, it is not even correct. The reaction he had to Guts' departure is always linked to E2, not E2. His self-esteem has always been tied to achieving his goals, completely ignoring people's reactions. Whether they are positive or negative. → “How repression serves as a guardian of the Type Two Ego structure. The type Two ego structure needs to maintain its idealized self of being the loving person who is never selfish and always thoughtful, generous and kind to others. To this end, the Twos’ fixation of flattery works very well. Constantly focusing on the other person by asking questions, giving them full attention, offering compliments, and making the other person feel like they are very, very important, Twos make friends and influence people, all the while maintaining their ego ideal as a thoughtful and unselfish person. Their flattery then fuels the Twos’ pride.” He never gave excessive attention to Guts, in fact what bound them was exactly respect. They both always acted like they were on the same level, until there was Griffith's talk with Charlotte. Another episode is when Guts and Casca are injured, when does Griffith arrive? Much, much later. Don't you think he personally would have gone to save Guts? But it didn't happen.
