He began acting in films during the 1980s and has since starred in a number of movies, including Better Off Dead (1985), Say Anything... (1989), Grosse Pointe Blank (1997), Being John Malkovich (1999), High Fidelity (2000), 1408 (2007), Igor (2008), 2012 (2009) and The Raven (2012). Cusack was born on June 28, 1966, at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood and grew up in Evanston, Illinois.
