What personality type is Atsushi Ootani? Atsushi Ootani is an ESTJ personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/so - 783 in Enneagram, SLUEN in Big 5, in Socionics.
At first, I was skeptical about my vote, but now I'm at least 95% certain. Otani in the anime is a milder version of his manga self and with that said, given how he is in the manga, he's DEFINITELY an ESTJ. He's definitely not a feeler by any means and when he does express himself, he'd sooner expresses his thoughts on what he thinks to be true before he would ever be honest about his personal beliefs or any of his true feelings really. To use Ti, you would be more intricate when dealing with facts, while Te would take info for when they need it, much like a tool. Nothing about Otani's behavior in the story says introverted thinking and he's certainly not a Fe. He's slow on the uptake when it comes to emotions of others and he's very harsh with his words and hardly has any filter when speaking his mind. And I feel like half of the time, his harsher moments comes from his inferior Fi, where he feels like he has to be defensive whenever someone comments about his insecurities or when he's dealing with situations outside of his emotional understanding. I had a more shallow reason for his judging perception before, mainly due to him wanting things done his way and chewing out on Risa for not filing the papers correctly. (lol dumb I know) But moving past that, I have a better idea of ESTJ being his type, so I'm sticking with this explanation. Of course, as I said, I am 95% sure about this. I'm still open for discussion ^^;
