Ne > Ne being his dominant function just feels obvious: the way he portrays himself, his creativity, the way he creates choreographies, his sense of humour, his banterings, how he acts on variety shows. Just watching one or two going seventeen episodes would be enough to anyone to perceive this. Hoshi's Ne makes him the innovative choreographer that can use street lights or a simple sofa to make whole compositions associating these things with melody, lyrics and what he desires to tell the viewer as a story. Hoshi's Ne makes him the group's hypeman, that gives energy to the members whenever they're tired, that usually atracts new fans because of his playful and almost absurd humour. Hoshi's Ne gets him in trouble sometimes as he's not capable of holding secrets because when he's talking about their activities he just goes and goes until he spills something that should be a surprise without even realizing. Hoshi's Ne explains why his choreography book is impossible to understand to anyone but him, the only one who can actually see the connections made on those pages. Hoshi's Ne explains how completely unpredictable he can get sometimes. Fi > also spot on when you pay attention the glimpses of how hoshi acts off cameras, when he's more introspective and how other members perceive him, not only what he made of his idol persona, but it's important to state that his Fi is really present in his art as well. His Fi is what makes him always reaffirm that he's in fact an introvert, that he needs his alone time to think about his actions, his relationships, his thoughts. Some people may not believe it, because his Ne makes him so outspoken when we see him playing his part of an entertainer while participating of varieties, but he really is a contemplative, thoughtful person, mostly in private, I believe, but whenever he would write long paragraphs about topics like human's emotions on fancafe, now sometimes on weverse, he brings this to the public surface (I couldn't find a compilation and I don't want to fill this comment with links, but take this as an example: https://twitter.com/hoshzone/status/1406281459573432322). Hoshi is often described as headstrong, his sense of morals is something he holds very close to him, and I can't remember exactly who, but once a member said that when Hoshi makes his mind about something is impossible to change his opinion; he'll make what he thinks is right. Being unique is VERY important to Hoshi. One of his songs, while being evidently mockery, has very interesting lyrics nonetheless: "I didn't like obvious things since I was a kid / whatever they said I argued they were wrong / If they told me not to go I went anyway / A kid who does things until the end even when told to stop / I won't change"; "Even if there's a correct answer I'll do it my style / I hate what I hate / [...] / The choices I make are unique from the others / The only thing I have is weirdness (?) and passion / Whoever betted on me is rich now"; "No one will stop me from achieving my dreams/ I decided I'm going to live the way I want to" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAXaBaFlKc4&ab_channel=17caratdeul). Te > while being his tertiary function, his Te is still well developed. You can notice it by how he's described as an assertive person and the way he gets defensive when he's upset (Fi-Te) and especially when his demeanor changes completely the second he enters their practice room. Hoshi takes dancing extremely serious and is very strict when it comes to this, so it's no surprise that he's The leader of the performance team, and objectively the member that's most involved in creating seventeen's coreographies (it's also known that Hoshi trained pledis trainees when he was still a trainee). Some members already commented that Hoshi gets scary when they're practicing, he will guarantee that the routines are perfected until the limit and demands a lot of the whole team, but much more of himself, being the perfectionist artist he is, always wanting more, wanting it better. The way Hoshi thinks is also very practical, one of the first things I can think as an example is how he acted on that going svt episode where they went on an escape room. Even before entering the place he said that "that's not his cup of tea" and while the other members where invested in discovering the riddles to get out he was very quiet, probably bored by the very idea of the effort of a clue hunt, but became more interested when the other members started getting results plus what he said in the soop "I don't have much motivation (to participate) if it's not something I love doing". Or how he acts whenever they play mafia: not making theories, in fact he's doesn't have a structured logic when arguing, he wants to get his point across, he can defend his point of view just right, but not exactly following a specific internal pattern of thought.
