Personality

What personality type is Osamu Dazai? Osamu Dazai is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/so - 469 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.

he undeniably had exemplary Ti usage; i think people are completely forgetting that INFJs can and usually do have good Ti as well without "looping", the tertiary function is often underestimated. it also seems like most people are typing him solely based on no longer human when there's a lot more to him than just that despite its semi-autobiographical nature (though it's still reliable and valid). even so, yozo displays too much Fe. evidently, both Ti and Fe were used well, therefore them being balanced in the tert-aux positions makes a lot more sense than Ti dom and Fe inf. unhealthy function usage doesn't immediately equate to "gripping", which is an even more questionable argument when you take into consideration the fact that his Fe usage was consistent. a "grip" lasting for most of one's life and being especially prominent all the time doesn't seem very convincing at all. he was obviously depressed, but that doesn't always inherently mean that he had to always be "gripping" functions wise. they may be expressed in a more convoluted manner though and such is the case with his Fe, i believe. the way he had regularly resonated with society's constructs and was dependent on others' values throughout his whole life was not really characteristic of someone whose Fe is supposedly inferior... you can be analytical regarding societal principals, that doesn't mean you're lacking in Fe at all? people act like Fe dom/auxs lack the ability to formulate their own understanding of concepts lol judging axis dispute aside, i don't see the Ne much. why, just because he was inquisitive? furthermore, Si isn't just about being past-oriented. his attachment to the past mostly seemed to come from a place of melancholic appreciation that seemed indicative of 4 core and Ni base in socionics if anything. often, his analysis would lead to ruminating on singular outcomes in-depth, constantly looking for his subjective truth in interpretation. in perception, it was never really about impressions leading to multiple possibilities, as much as he was able to consider different scenarios (and anyone can do that Ne user or not). his observations on human nature all seemed pretty Ni-Fe-Ti to me, converging to reach a valid deeper meaning. he seemed to tunnel-vision in on his extrapolations without regard for several answers to his queries, chasing one true conclusion. an Ne user would be more open to multiple answers, and would give them all equal weight. also, i think his struggles with connection were more about sx-blindness than weak Fe overall. either way the existence of loops is debatable and if your argument is literally only based on loops because you find it hard to justify someone’s nonexistent aux function, maybe rethink your conclusion...
