What personality type is Jaehyun (NCT)? Jaehyun (NCT) is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - so/sp - 937 in Enneagram, RCUAN in Big 5, SEI in Socionics.
my first impressions were SJ, very put together, tactful and almost “planned”. he has a very good hold of social cues and “how to act”. he doesn’t seem to value it — in the sense, that it doesn’t bother him at all if others don’t follow it. (so I ruled out high Fe or Si.) tbh, he only seems bothered by “illogical takes”; like the “believing in ghosts” that makes him silently judge the believers. i think the assumption he has high Fe comes from how caring he is with his members, but aside from them, he just seems generally detached and impersonal with everyone. he is cordial, but usually higher Fe users tend to act “overly” friendly — mark (who’s awkwardly social and ESFJ) and jungwoo (not sure what his type is, but definitely high Fe). idols in general have to develop their Fe (to not be hated) and even then he just seems to use his as an inevitable resource, he doesn’t partake in fan service, isn’t the most “engaging” in fansigns, neither does he go out of his way to interact with anyone or care about anything anyone is doing (ofc Fe high users aren’t always noisy, but let’s be honest, ENFJ and ISFJ are way too invested in other people’s lives.) ofc, mbti tests aren’t trustworthy in the slightest, but even with such direct questions, I find it hard to believe that a high Fe user would get Thinking over Feeling, when the questions tend to focus more on harmony over “logic”. he doesn’t have the general demeanour of an Se dom, not to mention he has a pretty good hold of Ni, often using Ti-Ni which just makes him even harder to know. he seems to have the perfect balance of Se-Ni, by being able to be attentive of the present, but still thinking and acting for long term benefits. i think this also shows in his very composed image, it’s noticeable that he’s not (dominantly) moved by Se, focusing on who he wants to be and better himself. obviously, most of this observations are a stretch, but we don’t have that much to work with. i have considered xxFJ and xSTP but, at the end of the day, ISTP, 9w8 (which the core might strengthen his Fe?) or even 3w2, Phlegmatic dominant, seems to make the most sense? tbh, the consensus that an ESTP is a 9w1 just shows how confused we are aunwjwnw.

He is best known as a member of the South Korean boy group NCT and its sub-units NCT U and NCT 127. From 2013 until before his debut, he performed as a part of SMROOKIES.
