What personality type is Metro Man? Metro Man is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 3w2 - so/sp - 379 in Enneagram, SCOAN in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
I'm honestly BAFFLED by how many ESTP votes there are and yet I'm not surprised. This man is a hunk with lots of charm and a laid-back personality. It's no shock some stereotype peeps like him as an instant ESTP. Nevertheless, I'd say Metro Man being an ENFJ (Fe dom) is so evident throughout the film. Most especially when Megamind and Roxanne find out why he left. "I felt stuck... I began to realize -- despite all my powers -- each and every citizen of Metro had something I didn't: a choice. Ever since I could remember, I always had to be what the city wanted me to be. But what about what I wanted to do?" He was stuck playing a role -- constantly help/save others as a hero -- and LATCHED onto it his entire life JUST to keep the peace. --- (sarcastically) "Roxanne was kidnapped... I was gonna stop you... My head... wasn't in the game that day. We were kinda goin' through the motions..." When he realized that wasn't working for him -- and that he wasn't happy -- he went into HIDING just to avoid disappointing people and breaking the balance. By choice! It was really heartbreaking, fulfilling, and encouraging to see an ENFJ character choose to go down a different road than what everyone expected of him. Also! ESTPs share the same functions as ENFJs, so I also can see the resemblance there! However, there's no way his dominant function is Se. He was guided to be front and center for everyone around him at all times. All the way up until his coordinated 'death.' "Then... it suddenly hit me... I do have a choice! I can be whatever I wanna be! No one said this hero thing had to be a lifetime gig. You can't just quit either... That's when I got the brilliant idea... to fake my death!" In my opinion, Metro Man is very clearly an ENFJ. I hope y'all have a good one if you're reading this! Bye! :)
