Jose Rizal is definitely an ENFP, and it very much speaks in his writings. In his "My Last Farewell" for example, Rizal claims that it doesn't matter if he's left forgotten as long as his work and contributions to his country leave an impact on the Philippines. This is a very Fi thing. He also left a lot of his lovers to follow the ultimate goals of his moral compass (as opposed to Fe). Ultimately his idealistic nature comes from his dominant Ne, given how he's always optimistic, hopeful and most importantly - curious to learn about other cultures and various kinds of education, as well. This enthusiasm for ideas is even displayed in his taste and interests, such as being addicted to theater. Him hopping from country to country was also a means for him to grab new opportunities and explore new things.
