What personality type is Chester Bennington? Chester Bennington is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sx/so - 468 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.
During his beginning as part of the band, most of the more non specific songs like "Crawling" or "With You" or "Papercut" were most likely inspirations from his childhood traumas, that remained unsolved. And while he used music/art as a coping mechanism, instead of using practical solutions, such as therapy (that is, is a poor usage of Si , and preferred overuse of Ne) he saught many possible ways of making it feel rather invisible, through expanding his career and benefitting from fame and fortune (being part of one of the most known and critically acclaimed bands of the 2000s and even history), as well as exploring different themes and genres (war - ATS, reviving the roots and finding authenticity in the rock spirit ‐ THP and ultimately being a parent and projecting his pov as a proud and renewed father and human being - OML). (Again, this is a Fi/Ne process as far as the cognitive preferences go.) Even though, with all this happening, while having a stable and happy life AND family, sober for years off drugs, he couldnt find a way to make his past pain go away, because, once again (inferior Si and almost a complete waste of Te, for that matter), channelling his pain and making his stories relatable to millions, even billions, at this point, IGNORING the childhood traumas and pain did not help him much. BECAUSE, the best solution to solve a trauma, and other types of unhappy/unfortunate memories, is to accept them as a path of growth (this was obvious when, prior to his definite suicide, he already had another suicide attempt back in Nov 2016, albeit under the influence of alcohol - which is known for revealing your subconscious thoughts, yet another obvious reason he left the problems from the past unsolved, BY ignoring them), acknowledging he became what he is because of the personal events. Anyone who is going through the worst, and feel hopeless, know that if you accept them as part of your growth, it will lead you to a much brighter destination, AND TRUST ME - you will rise above your peers, proudly, whoever doubted you as well. He had a kindred spirit with a wholesome heart, its just that he ignored his problems while focusing on creating art towards who needed the most, in the lack of a friend who could understand and relate to. May you rest in peace, Chester - and wherever you are, I hope you found a better place to carry on, than this where we live in rn.

Chester Charles Bennington (March 20, 1976 – July 20, 2017) was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He served as lead singer for the bands Linkin Park, Dead by Sunrise, Grey Daze, and Stone Temple Pilots.Bennington first gained prominence as a vocalist following the release of Linkin Park's debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000, which became a commercial success.
