What personality type is Grimes? Grimes is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sx/so - 749 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.

It’s actually very insane to me how most people are typing her as a 4w3 when grimes is textbook 7w6. This women is a head type. And 7’s can be “quirky” and “different” y’all just vote anyone as a 4. In a recent interview with vanity fair a journalist said about grimes: A conversation with Grimes can be like staring at a Tokyo subway map when you don’t speak Japanese. She’s always using scientific terms and alluding to heady concepts, then checking with me to make sure I know what they mean because usually I do not. If there’s an airhead in this room, it’s not her. “Do you know what a protopia is?” No. (A state of gradual progress toward utopia.) “Effective altruism?” I mean, I know what those words mean. (Using data analysis to maximize resource deployment to help others.) “The Overton window?” I thought so, but I looked it up while she was in the bathroom and I was wrong. (The spectrum of accepted discourse and achievable ideas.) “What about neuroplasticity?” Now I’m worried she just thinks I’m stupid. Although the quotes above can mainly allude to Ne in general, I still think she’s motivated by fear and anxiety. It seems like she has a lot on her mind and it really stems from boredom. 7’s are known to be one of the most futuristic enneagrams. Her art is very much concerned with A.I , dystopia and utopian themes. She describes her music as “post- internet. the line of integration (5) and disintegration (1) fits her perfectly actually. When I hear grimes speak, she doesn’t strike me as someone who is self aware with their emotions like a 4. And where the **** is the wing 3 coming from ? She’s not at all self dramatic and I can’t see any of the IV’s of a 4 suiting her. A 4 is part of the heart triad and the controversies she got into could be described as tone deaf. Can’t imagine a 4 being in that position. Bottom line is I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time and I just wanted to share my take on her. She’s an ENFP sexual 7 fairy living in fantasy worlds and percolating it in her art.

Biography

Claire Elise Boucher (born March 17, 1988), known professionally as Grimes, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, record producer and visual artist. Boucher released the studio albums Geidi Primes and Halfaxa in 2010, and signed a recording contract with 4AD in 2011. Her third studio album Visions (2012) and its singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" received widespread critical acclaim; it was hailed as "one of the most impressive albums of the year so far" by The New York Times, was nominated for the Polaris Prize, and received the Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Following this in 2015 her fourth studio album, Art Angels, was released and received critical praise being named the best album of the year by several publications. Her fifth studio album, Miss Anthropocene, was released in 2020.
