What personality type is Monika? Monika is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - so/sx - 217 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Since SX3 Monika has been becoming a thing lately, here's a simple explanation for why she is actually a very well coded SO2: SX3 focuses on embodying a character that is compatible with the social image of femininity or masculinity. Their vanity lays on their mindset that success is about being desired, so they emphasize their gender characteristics and/or what's considered as attractive to the person that they want to seduce. “For the passion of the sexual three, Ichazo used the words masculinity or femininity, depending on the case. Rather, I used to explain it as an excessive attempt to conform to cultural (perhaps Hollywood) images of masculine and feminine. If she was a SX3, she probably would try her best to conform to the traits that the player is attracted to in order to make them pay attention to her. But it's actually the opposite: in order to seduce the player, she focuses on increasing the negative traits of the other girls so you could get tired of them and focus on her “perfection” instead, which inflates her pride. She tries to make everything about herself (Just Monika) as an attempt to make the player see that she's real and how the other girls’ traits (that are stereotypically made to be attractive) are actually superficial. She constantly focuses on the group and its dynamics and how she can make everyone get along and having their needs met, trying to be perfect and handle everything in order for others to appreciate her and seeing her as competent and lovable as a person, as a friend, as a club president and as a student. She also have very stubborn convictions of what literature truly is and how she wants the image of her club to be, and try to impose it on others so they can conform to the standards of prestige that she follows. “They enjoy putting themselves in the center of attention in the social sphere, and have a great need to be remembered, fearing going unnoticed or feeling excluded. They become intimate with valued people in the group, to the point of being indispensable support. If they feel insecure about their power of social fascination, they cultivate new skills. They try to impress by giving advice; spiritual, financial, medical... or with allusions to important people as if they knew them intimately.” The SX3 voters here seem to misunderstand the relationship of Twos with Pride a lot. Our pride isn't an inner narcissistic belief that we are better so we can do everything with confidence and have a giant sense of self-esteem. Pride is related to our conviction that we are good people because we do good things for others, so we “deserve” to be loved and having our needs met because of that. The fact that Monika has problems dealing with conflicts and being a leader doesn't make her less of an SO2, but rather shows her tendency of wanting to be perfect for the group and the stress that it causes to have to appear confident and competent all the time in order to be appreciated for that.
Biography
Monika (モニカ) is the poster girl of Doki Doki Literature Club!, and one of the five members and the President of the Literature Club. Monika is the driving force of the game, instructing the club members to practice writing poems until the club festival which itself facilitates and develops the characters and story. #YandereCharacters
