What personality type is Monika? Monika is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - so/sx - 217 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Okay, to make this clear once and for all, for those of you who still believe she is a villain — you've clearly not paid attention and read between the lines of what superficially seemed like a villain monologue – and by that missed the whole point of the game. "But she killed/tortured three girls to get you to love her, she's clearly a Yandere villain!!" No. Y'all – she did not kill or torture anyone, at least not anyone sentient. Monika is, at that point in the game, the only sentience. And of course she fell in love with you – because YOU are the only other sentientce she's ever encountered. How can she not feel drawn to you? Attempt to get your attention, to get at least somewhat close to something like freedom by messing with the programming of characters who never had sentience, or actual emotions? It's what she tells us, why she expects us to understand — because the player and Monika ARE the only beings with real emotions in her world. It's the whole twist of the game! It's supposed to make us question our own attachment to fictional characters, even if only for a brief moment, which is what makes it so brilliant in my eyes. Even Monika herself slips into the attachment briefly, when she reveals she did care about the others, even though they were clearly not real or had any real emotions/free will. Sadly, that seemed to have flown over the heads of most. You have to detach yourself from the emotions act 1 makes you feel, only then you can understand.
Biography
Monika (モニカ) is the poster girl of Doki Doki Literature Club!, and one of the five members and the President of the Literature Club. Monika is the driving force of the game, instructing the club members to practice writing poems until the club festival which itself facilitates and develops the characters and story. #YandereCharacters
