What personality type is Kaede Akamatsu? Kaede Akamatsu is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - so/sx - 271 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
Since she only appeared in Chapter 1, she doesn’t have as much dialogue or actions as the other V3 characters to type her based on, but I think the free time events really shed light on why she is a 1w2 > 2. In all of them, she’s always questioning or feeling uncomfortable with her classmates’ eccentric personalities, and she isn’t shy about bringing up ways for them to improve. A lot of her free time dialogue with the others is spent on ways they “should act” and what they “should be doing”. She can come across as a little pushy and nosy when criticizing others, but it comes from her innate moral compass and vision of how people should be (1’s perfectionism and idealism) rather than wanting to receive love or adoration from her help (2’s pride and desire for love). Her primary fixation with proper behavior and improvement when communicating with others embodies the Social 1. Off the top of my head, a couple examples are: 1. Her admonishing and spending hours talking with Miu to improve her social skills because she finds Miu’s communication improper. 2. Her urging to Kirumi for her to take self-care and stop serving others all the time, because Kaede believes everyone is becoming “spoiling”. I don’t see how she fits 9’s passion of Sloth, because she’s very involved with her class, working diligently, and fixing their problems. There are countless times she tells someone to “work hard” or tells them “I know you can do it” and emphasizes effort constantly. Not even the social 9 fully centers their life around hard work and improvement in others because “it is right” (the social 9 would probably do it to feel like they’re a part of something). I also don’t see Social 2 ANYWHERE. In no way, shape, or form does Kaede attempt to seduce groups with her piano talent, intellect, or image in order to gain love from them. She never had selfish intent for being kind or helping others: once again, it was solely her moral compass that compelled her to act like this. And as for social 7, she possesses little gluttony and doesn’t attempt to avoid pain (in herself and others) through distractions, experiences, or fun. And even though social 7 is the counter type and doesn’t possess the typical gluttonous 7 trait structure, Kaede doesn’t consciously or even subconsciously reject her gluttony in favor of being more selfless and helping others feel positive. These Social 2w1/2w3 votes are making me confused, and I’d love to see arguments for people’s thought processes because I fail to see 2ms image-based, histrionic, prideful, and love-seeking personality in her. Instead, I believe she has a more guttural/instinctual, dutiful, idealistic, and anger-based personality of 1.

Kaede Akamatsu is a student in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles and a participant of the Killing School Semester featured in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Her title is the Ultimate Pianist.
