When things go bad he doesn't give a damn about the expedition (the fate of his entire city, might as well be all of humanity within this world) and explicitly states as much, is willing to walk off and ditch Lune to fend for herself against murderous hostile forces, doesn't care that there may be other survivors who all know to meet at the rendezvous point.... he abandons the whole plan to go after the one person he has real feelings about. This is Fi driven behavior.
