I’ve been critical of Twilight, but it’s often assumed by her critics that she lacks natural talent. I think the opposite. Sure, she isn’t some genius, but her storytelling abilities feel rather natural. What needed to be developed is her ability as a writer to express that story. Any type can be a storyteller. That being said, I’ve started to categorize ENFPs as the more natural storytellers and INFPs as the more natural poets. I don’t always mean that literally. Consider Shakespeare. What finally convinced me of INFP over ENFP is that what he said is far less powerful than how he said it. To claim he wasn’t original is to miss the very point. People read Romeo and Juliet like it’s one step away from being a film, when it should really be read like poetry.
