both INTJs and ISTJs have very similar cold exteriors, which makes it hard to tell apart. Alex, is very clearly ISTJ, when she got rejected from Harvard she entered a Ne-grip, she saw her future as being doomed and catastrophized everything and became angry and pessimistic. When she is moderately stressed, Alex becomes obsessed with details which is very common among ISTJs when relying on their Se function too much. She also possesses stereotypical ISTJ traits such as focusing on the execution of a plan rather than just envisioning it (which is a very typical INTJ move) and relies on analytics to achieve her outcomes (seen when Alex takes the typical/average classes required to enter a good college).
