Dimitri MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Dimitri? Dimitri is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - sx/sp - 378 in Enneagram, SCUEI in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.

(1/2) ESTP ARGUMENT Se: Okay so Ne actually would KIND OF make sense in Dimitri, but he’s only after ONE future for the moment so it’s unlikely that he has Ne>Se. I think people think he’s Ne dom because he gives off similar vibes to Flynn Rider, who I believe to be Ne (for argument see https://www.personality-database.com/comment/8255760?profileID=2356). Though they are both definitely EXTP, I see some differences in typology involving Ne and Se for sure. While Flynn went to the tower in order to chase the possibilities of becoming rich, Dimitri heard about the possibilities of Anastasia still being alive and only cared about the here and now of him becoming rich. He honestly likely had not considered something like this scheme UNTIL the discovery of her possible survival. Immediately, he put up auditions to send him to Paris without a thought… just that right now he would be rich. He didn’t even really think through the possibility of WHO they’d use to be Anastasia. And then he met Anya. He didn’t need to think through the possibilities because he realized that she looked exactly the same as the painting DIRECTLY behind her. She told him she had amnesia, so, once again without a thought, he pushed her into believing that she was royalty. And then on the ship when Anya was in trouble, he didn’t put much thought into that either. He just knew she was in distress at that moment and jumped out to rescue her. And then at the part where he refused the money, he turned it down because at that moment it was no longer the reward that he desired. Instead, he wanted Anya’s happiness, and he no longer believed that he was her present so he tried to leave. Every time he put his life on the line to protect Anya, it was just because it was what he felt he needed to do at that moment. Ti: His Ti is obvious because Dimitri is independent and tries for what makes sense in his mind. In his mind, any girl in Russia could be Anastasia. This “Anastasia” would bring him money. Anya looked like Anastasia, so he thought that of COURSE her grandma would believe him. It just made sense. Then, as her memories started to return -as she mentioned the wall that he remembered letting the REAL Anastasia through as a child- he realized that it only made sense to HIM that she WAS really Anastasia. At this point he genuinely believed her to be royalty. “Who else could pull it off but you and me?” Fe: Dimitri has Fe, though for a while he didn’t use it for good. Instead, he used it to manipulate Anya into believing that she was Anastasia before he realized that she really WAS. He wanted money, so he manipulated her. Likely he wanted money because wealthy people are more socially accepted, so he cared about what people thought of him enough to chase whatever it took. Ni: “Imagine the reward her dear old grandmama would pay!” “We’ll be rich!” Dimitri did not mindlessly chase an Anastasia without an end goal. In fact, he saw the end result very clearly, he just had to act really recklessly based on what was presented to him at that moment. He’s not Ni dom because he didn’t have a specific one track goal to follow UNTIL Anastasia was rumored to still be alive. Instead, he sees the certain outcome of short term goals. Like when he was helping young Anastasia escape the castle. He didn’t let her go back for her music box because at THAT moment, all he needed was for them to make it outside alive, and the outcome of her getting her music box back was certain death. He’s not Ni dom because he doesn’t have a lot of long term goals; instead it’s his inferior because he cares about the result of the NOW with his Se. He also really is not that good at seeing the negatives of his choices, instead only focusing on how it would impact him here and now. 3W2 SO/SP 378 ARGUMENT 3w2: Okay so I thought Dimitri’s core 3 was VERY clear. He wasn’t after ANYTHING as much as he was after success with his scheme to find an Anastasia and become rich. He didn’t care about Anastasia’s grandma’s feelings as long as he benefited from the money. Even if she found out the truth, it wouldn’t take back his fraud money and success which, in reality, he DID work for. He didn’t even care if she WAS still out there- just finding an accurate look alike, bringing the imposter in, and receiving money from the charitable “return.” When he met Anya- a lookalike with amnesia from the time she was the same age as the grand duchess at her disappearance- it was all too perfect and convenient. He KNEW he’d be likely to be believed, therefore becoming successful. Wow…saying this I’m realizing that in the beginning, honestly Dimitri was kind of terrible, haha! Still love him, though. He didn’t want to be a nobody. He wanted to be seen, admired, and successful. He has a two wing because he also did this because he wanted fame, love, and praise.
