Alan Turing MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Alan Turing? Alan Turing is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - sx/sp - 541 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
Too technical, focused and left brained (just like Nikola Tesla) to be a 5w4. 5w4s are way more expressive, and it was the 6 wing that made him such a private individual. Plus he's among the smaller batch of INTPs who transformed their ideas into creation, which is again more of a 5w6 trait as 5w4s prefer intellectual originality over intellectual achievement. Also a Socionics LII, which is almost never attributed to 5w4s (especially if INTP). Him and Tesla were the articulate intelligent kind, which suits 5w6 and LIIs more. 5w4s are flexible and philosophical even among INTJs. EDIT: I don't stand by most of my old typings and comments, and that's not mainly due to changes in typing but moreso due to my growing cynicality towards typology altogether. Parts of my overall overview have been getting clearer (especially in connection with language, creation, and art), and my typological conclusions have found way more ambiguity due to them.
Biography
Alan Mathison Turing OBE FRS (1912–1954) was an English mathematician, computer scientist, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher, and theoretical biologist. Turing was highly influential in the development of theoretical computer science, providing a formalization of the concepts of algorithm and computation with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general-purpose computer. He is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence.
