APA defines insight as the clear and often sudden discernment of a solution to a problem by means that are not obvious and may never become so, even after one has tried hard to work out how one has arrived at the solution. This fits Ramanujan so well. Ramanujan often said he doesn't know how he able to do math, but it comes naturally to him. He's very abstract with how he speaks like when he talks with his lover. Combination of Ni -Ti is literally a heuristic form of thinking which allows him to arrive to an insightful and even logical conclusion without seeking out relevant information. Moreover, he's an introvert because it's documented that he's shy and often observe other people from a distance though he could initiate with other people first if he had to but primarily, he prefers people to initiate with him. His insight also does not stem from his experience (Si) but from his intimate relationship with God (Fe). He's always pressuring Hardy but not to the point of creating a fight because he wants Hardy to believe his work and because he cares about his family (Fe-Se). Se inferior can pressure or force people to do something that they want (Ni) but because it's an inferior function they don't always pressure or assert so much like Se dom. Fe auxiliary He's aware of social norm and try to act ethically around people. He even make other people feel more important. He seeks out intimate relationship with his God and his lover. Enough said. Ti tertiary/child and Te blindspot Ti tertiary is pure logic because of Te blindspot does not care about external proofs as long it's logical. Hence, why it's pure logic. Ramanujan has shown to not care about proofs because he's confident with his insight and logical reasoning. Ti tertiary is very optimistic with their logical reasoning to the point they don't search for external proofs or use conventional way of thinking when solving a problem hence INFJ logical output is literally infinite because their Te input from the shadow is boundless thus it can be very original. Because of that, their Ti can have logical leaps and that's why Hardy even corrects some of his math work. Hardy is Te user (probably a Te auxiliary) because he's concern with proofs. Ti users are good with inward mathematics and Te users are good in outward mathematics. Te users are also amazing formulaic meaning they know what rule (because they like to research about it) to use to solve a problem because the rule has been proven but Ramanujan almost doesn't follow a rule because he trust his own logical reasoning . Ramanujan is a Ti user. During his time in England, he develops his Te blindspot with the help of Hardy in order to improve his proofs. He's innate philosophy is universalism which is basically pointing towards his Te blindspot because Te blindspot is very neutral with belief system. Ramanujan thinks every religion is equal as there's a universal truth. He's like Mahatma Ghandi with his personal belief. Addressing mistype. Some people type him as INTJ. The reason why he's not an INTJ is because INTJ is concern with external proofs to justify their own thinking and they only use what's proven to solve a problem based on their research. INTJ are formulaic because they're Te users. Formulaic means someone who uses a well-known formula to solve a problem thus it's not very new. Clearly, Ramanujan is not an INTJ or a Te user because Ramanujan doesn't need proofs to justify his own thinking. Some people even type him as INTP. The reason why he's not an INTP is because INTP does not have Te blindspot meaning INTP still cares about external proofs more than INFJ. Often, INTP would make an effort to find further proofs after they're done thinking about something and this come naturally to INTP. INTP are more capable to do proofs almost without help but INFJs requires assistant. That's why Hardy helps him to do proofs as Hardy is a Te user. INTP is more responsible with their logical reasoning which then reflects back to their Te shadow in order to seek out proofs .

Srinivasa Ramanujan ( 22 December 1887 – 26 April 1920) was an Indian mathematician who lived during the British Rule in India. Though he had almost no formal training in pure mathematics, he made substantial contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions, including solutions to mathematical problems considered to be unsolvable. Ramanujan initially developed his own mathematical research in isolation; it was quickly recognized by Indian mathematicians.
