Personality

What personality type is Andrew "Andy" Barclay? Andrew "Andy" Barclay is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/sx - 694 in Enneagram, RCUAN in Big 5, EII in Socionics.

I think his 6w5 enneagram was very clearly seen throughout the saga especially during Cult of Chucky where he has become (understandably) a very paranoid person who fears all the time for his safety and has a diverse and varied collection of weapons to protect himself. I can see him as an INFP, although it is not so clear since he is a very young child (which also is not that he has a lot of time to show Ne casually, the boy is fighting for his life) in the first movies, I can see that imaginative tendency in him, sometimes rambling and wondering where Chucky might be or what his next move will be or if that doll is the real Chucky, most of the time considering the options and preparing for it, although sometimes he can be careless (well of course it's a boy) I think the best films to define it and the ones that make me believe that it is INFP are the ones in which it is older and better developed, that perhaps Childs Play 3 and Cult of Chucky, in both films Andy's motivation is not to survive as it was in Childs Play 1 and 2 but to save others who have been harmed by Chucky, his motivations, although they come from the desire to help and protect others Don Manncini (creator of the saga) has said that he also has Much to do with the personal bias that Andy has towards Chucky and that based on that bases his actions and morals so I think Fi dom makes sense In film 3 the difference between him and De Silva, a clear user of Se, is clearly demonstrated, not only in aspects such as behavior and assertiveness, Andy usually considers the options constantly, while De Silva is more direct and works more with the concrete facts, in Cult of Chucky Andy develops an ingenious plan managing to sneak a fake Chucky into psychiatry although things do not go as expected, it seems to prevent the unexpected rather than to predict them something that aligns more with Tert Si this also seen in Cult of Chucky where he sent Kyle to continue torturing Chucky's head in case he can't return

Biography

The main protagonist of the original trilogy and Deuteragonist of the seventh film, Andy is the second most recurring character in the series. On his 6th birthday, he receives a Good Guy Doll from his mother as a present. Unfortunately, it turns out it's possessed by a serial killer named Chucky who wishes to use Andy as a human host. Throughout the first three films, Andy is relentlessly pursued by Chucky in an attempt to either kill or transfer his soul into him while Andy constantly fights back to stop him.
