Personality

What personality type is Janine / Ofwarren / Ofhoward? Janine / Ofwarren / Ofhoward is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - sx/so - 279 in Enneagram, SLUAN in Big 5, in Socionics.

(Season 1 Spoilers) I will admit that this character definetly blurs the lines (possibly due to her mental illness), but I believe her core wants can still demonstrate what mbti she is. “Can I tell you a secret? I can do anything I want. I can. I had a baby. A good one! I had a good one! And so they don’t care. I can do anything I want. I can have ice cream. It’s only vanilla, but I can have it.” This is one of the first few ways she’s able to find freedom in the show, and it’s not some abstract concept she holds dear to her heart, it’s the physical freedom to have some sort of tangible, good sensation that she enjoys. One good way of knowing the difference between Ne and Se doms is what they get excited about, abstract possibilities and ideas, or experiences and sensations. Another example that shows the exact same thing is when she had to be talked off a ledge by June, in her most delicate mental state: “Janine, change is coming. There’s hope. All of this, it’s all gonna be over one day, and everything is gonna go back to normal. And we are gonna go out, we’re gonna go out drinking. You and me. Janine: “And Moira?” June: “Yeah” Janine: “And Alma?” June: “Yeah” Janine: “ Can we uh… can we do karaoke? June: “Sure. Whatever you want. We’re gonna get hammered, we’re gonna go dancing, and we’ll watch the sun come up.” … Janine: “It can’t hurt very much. No, just for a second. And then we’ll be free” Even though this scene is incredibly hard for Janine, It was the moment she had the most agency for herself after she joined the red center. The only comfort for her in that moment was the possibility of her reality being back to how it was, having fun experiences that even though they hadn’t happened yet, she could still feel them as if she was doing them already. She loved to experience the joys of life, and her last choice was to tangibly decide what she wanted for that life, to continue it, or to end it, and she did what she wanted. Overall for season one, the only moment that came across more as Ne to me was her escape fantasy with the commander, that could sort of be interpreted as the desire for physical freedom as well, but she never focused on the sensation aspect of it really, it was just the idea of being loved and part of a family. Other than that, I think she was much more focused on the physical pleasures of life, making me lean much more heavily towards ESFP than ENFP. For inferior Ni, there are many examples where June struggles to explain to her why she should basically just calm tf down and lay low instead of constantly seeking freedom, but Janine also struggles to understand any idea of why she should do that, since she’s constantly coming up with reasons for why she should do what she wants to do. This abstract concept of Janine needing to “calm down” for the sake of her future survival isn’t something that comes easily to her, and has to be explained to her by June. A clear example of this is when she’s being talked off a ledge, and June has to tell Janine that she can’t jump with her because she has to think of her daughter’s future, and how Janine should do the same. Even though that’s something that didn’t come naturally to her, she was able to understand that, and take it for what it was, and I think that’s a reason for inf Ni.
