Berlín is without a doubt one of the best and most interesting characters in Casa de Papel, a complete fan favorite, and I think this might come from his “wholeness”. He used all functions in his stack almost equally, didn’t loop, didn’t oppress anything in him. However, there was still a hierarchy (WATCH OUT FOR SPOILERS): ▪️(1) Dominant Te| Berlín’s Te set the tone for his entire cognition. Large focus on hierarchies, rules and leadership, which he enforced at any cost. When other people became paranoid, he was able to remain objective, because he didn’t make assumptions. He always used only the presented evidence to form conclusions via an inductive method (Te) and always was holding all the units of the game in his hands, so that he can supervise and make decisions effectively. ▪️(2) Ni/Se middle axis| ➖Introverted Intuition: Good people instincts, he intuited and predicted numerous things, like Tokio’s relationship, Denver’s secret, Arturito’s plans and many others. He always had the big picture in mind, which showed in his tunnel vision regarding the plan, which allowed him to take action more confidently. Another thing is that he always preached the symbolisms and more abstract perceptions he had about things. Like when Raquel entered the factory and called him an idiot because of these rants. He also has a strong artistic component when it comes to planning, which in his case I believe is Ni/Se. ➖Extroverted Sensing: Action oriented with the attitude of grabbing what’s immediately there and either eliminate the problem or seize the opportunity. He also admitted to being impulsive. But there’s a strong philosophical backbone in his Se. After he was diagnosed with a terminal illness he decided to live life to its absolute fullest, enjoying every source of stimulation, in fact: actively looking for it. ▪️(3) Inferior Fi| Even though he didn’t let personal feelings corrupt his judgement, Fi had a significant influence on him. The reason he entered the team was because a) to enjoy himself and b) to honor Sergio’s work and plan. He often talked about his moral code that permits him from doing some things, and despite his personality disorder, he was quite in touch with what he emotionally needed and showed strong adherence to it. Good examples of this: - his last conversation with the Professor when the police entered - his plan with Ariadna - his speeches about love in season 3 and 4 Also, someone grab me some of his suits!
