Zhou Liqi (周立齐), a Zhuang, was born on December 27, 1984 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He was sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment four times for theft. Because his hairstyle in the interview video was similar to that of Cuban revolutionary leader Che Guevara, he was nicknamed "Theft Guevara"（窃·格瓦拉） by netizens. On April 18, 2020, Zhou Liqi was released from prison. On June 2, Zhou Liqi publicly apologized.
