What personality type is Daniel “Dan” Espinoza? Daniel “Dan” Espinoza is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/so - 629 in Enneagram, SLOAN in Big 5, in Socionics.
I disagree with his ESFJ typing, I think he is probably Fi/Te axis. SLI or LSE? Or EII? Some Delta quadra type. Dan shows typical traits of 6: he can be friendly, social, loyal to his friends and family but he is also neurotic, secretive and reactive, doesn't trust people, can turn on them because of fear. Michael's manipulation led to Dan attempting to kill Lucifer. Malcolm's manipulation led to him stealing the gun and gaslighting Chloe during the Palmetto case. But whenever he isn’t in “panic” mode, Dan is polite, loyal, and good-natured, able to plan ahead and keep things light. His coping strategies are also 6-ish: *Looking for something and/or someone outside the self to believe in and put loyalty into (police work, his ex-wife, friends) * Question others’ intentions (about Lucifer, sometimes Maze) *Being warm/pleasing to disarm potential hostility (He is a generally nice guy) He doesn't seem too confident in his private life too and is attracted to "strong" women: ISTJ Chloe and ESTJ Charlotte. It is obvious why he attracted Chloe and fell in love with her himself: Ones and Sixes share many values, beliefs, and ideals. They admire each other’s sense of duty, loyalty, reliability, hard work ethic, conscientiousness, and sense of purpose and mission. Ones are attracted to Sixes supportiveness, congeniality, warmth, and compassion. Sixes are attracted to One's ability to prioritize and make firm decisions. Sixes see Ones as stable, dependable and consistent, which makes them feel more secure in the relationship. And their problems are typical: * Ones can get angry with Sixes negative projections (fears of the worst) – their suspicions, questioning, doubting, blaming, and accusations. Chloe felt angry her ex-husband didn't support her with the Plameto case and tried to make her close it. *Sixes can become defensive and evasive when things are going wrong in the relationship. Biography
Daniel "Dan" Espinoza is a homicide detective in Los Angeles, working as a member of the LAPD. This leads him to interact with Lucifer Morningstar when Lucifer decides to help the LAPD solve cases. Dan dislikes Lucifer quite a bit, due to Lucifer calling him "Detective Douche" and his connection to Dan's ex-wife, Chloe Decker, and daughter, Trixie.
