I feel like she’s not as concerned with her image as a 3w2 would be in the context of the show. Don’t get me wrong, she definitely still is, but unlike Quinn (who I *do* think is a 3w2), she’s rather altruistic towards Daria with little to no motivation other than she feels bad for her. She invites her to parties, offered to help her with “vocal training” in 3x02, and seems to enjoy her company despite the fact that Daria isn’t typically the type of person she’d hang out with. And compare her general behaviour to Quinn’s as well. Quinn is always using guys to get ahead, she usually is focused on their material possessions and physicality. While this is something Brittany does to some extent (notice how she rebounds immediately from Kevin whenever they’re “broken up”), she seems much more concerned about her social standing. She’s friendly with everyone and gives everyone a chance, even if they are “unpopular” in her eyes. And notice how she doesn’t talk about fashion or makeup as much as Quinn does. She’s much more concerned with the activities of her cheerleading group and her relationship with Kevin than makeup and fashion (though she still does value the latter greatly, as evident by her social standing on the Lawndale hierarchy of popularity alone, and multiple episodes where she competes with Quinn in fashion-related contests.) Why not 2w1? Well, she constantly talks about the dynamics of “popular” and “unpopular” people when it comes to her preferences of who she likes to hang out with, and she isn’t really as concerned with order as a 1 wing would be
