What personality type is Erina Nakiri? Erina Nakiri is an ESTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - so/sp - 136 in Enneagram, SLOEN in Big 5, LSE in Socionics.
I honestly like her. She was rather immature and annoying at first, but in the later seasons, character development seemed to have calmed her ego down. She still seems rather spoiled later on, but she uses her immeasurable and sometimes overbearing confidence for others’ sake later on, rather than just herself and status. That sounds like much more realistic writing for me, than her suddenly changing into someone else completely, haha. Though maybe as someone who does story writing for a creative hobby, I judge characters less by their likeability if I knew them in real life but how interesting and realistic a character they are in a show. ESTJ is very obvious, so let’s focus on the enneatype. Yes, she seems more 1w2 than 8w9 if you ask me. These types are both in the anger triad, and that might make them come off more similar. . . but the difference is that 8s often have a more direct way of showing anger, rather than the more restrained resentment you see in unhealthy 1s she was at the start of the show. She’s more focused on the details of things as a 1, rather than just pushing through with big action as 8s prefer. Also, I don’t see the 9 wing. I think people just placed a 9 wing because a fun loving 7 wing sounds impossible for her, but I don’t see the calm easygoing nature a 9 has. 8w9s may look like big tough teddy bears, who either like you or hate you — being tough on enemies, but a calm rock with allies. I don’t get that vibe from her. Neither do I see that with the possibility of 1w9. The 2 wing seems to show off later in the show where she becomes more nurturing in a kind of strict teacher way a 1w2 can be later on.
