You guys here have a bad tendency to think that any intelligent person must be a enneagram 5. That's just some really lazy way of analyzing both people and their psychological functions. Keynes is certainly a secondary 5w6, but his primary enneagram is 1w9. If you read any of his biographies, commentaries or his books - it would be a good place to start before guessing/typing people -, it will be easier for you guys to understand the reason for 1w9. He doesn't give a damn about pure logic for its own sake (a 5w6 thing). "Treatise on Probability" was a criticism on probability theory and the way statistics was being dealt by mathematicians. He is a quintessential doer (gut type). He was out there to try to save the world by means of economics and politics - typical ennea 1 in action - also, see Bretton Woods and his attempt to create a balance (1w9) between nations' foreign exchange currencies. Also, his book about "The Economic Consequences of the Peace" was an attempt to prevent the 2º WW from happening (1w9).
