Personality

What personality type is Bubba Sawyer/Leatherface (Original)? Bubba Sawyer/Leatherface (Original) is an ISFJ personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - sp/so - 962 in Enneagram, RLUAN in Big 5, SEI in Socionics.

one of the most ISFJ characters i know. i'll try to explain why but i'm not great, sorry in advance Si - after killing kirk and pam, then later jerry, we see him pace anxiously and look out of the window: he knows if one person has come to find their friends, more will follow. from his anxiousness, we can tell in his mind new people = bad, likely from past events with other victims. terrified of the cook, partially due to him being abusive, but also because he fears disappointing him. he lives for his family and is very dutiful, killing intruders despite showing no enjoyment from it. he's been taught these rules and traditions (intruders are dangerous, wear your best clothes for dinner, eating people is normal) and understands new information by comparing it to those structures. this can explain why he jumps straight to killing intruders rather than considering why they're intruding, he hasn't had a positive experience with outsiders so there's nothing to threaten his perceptions of the world. he's ritualistic, routined, and traditional (e.g. wearing old lady mask for cooking only, likely every time he cooks), dislikes surprises, and finds ease in following orders Fe - he lives for his family. he's aware of how they're feeling and what they want, especially the cook because of his fear of him, and is eager to follow what they say. repeatedly follows orders from his brothers for the sake of harmony regardless of his own desires (e.g. just before the dinner scene, when the cook tells him to go back into the kitchen, he clearly wants to go to sally but after some hesitation does as he's asked). he seems to be the primary carer, preparing and making dinner, killing intruders, as well as kissing, patting, and helping grandpa eat. puts the needs of others (or at least those he cares about) above his own and seems to lose his fearfulness when protecting his family Ti - keeps him remaining sceptical of the outside world as he's concluded it's bad (though i don't think his ti is shown much). his main use of ti is likely in conjunction with his si, where he uses observations and data alongside his past experiences to predict how intruders or his brothers will react (e.g. he knows people will run when they see him so he often uses the element of surprise). there could be a case for a si-ti loop from his reaction at the window. with the possibility of more intruders showing up, he could get stuck fretting and over-analysing past mistakes when capturing victims, and him breaking out of this loop would be by focusing on his fe (keeping his brothers happy) Ne - a "healthy" example is seen in his masks. his previous experience has always been in meat (killing, cutting, skinning) at the slaughterhouse, so he uses this in his masks (and maybe furniture, unless the hitchhiker made them) since he has practical experience with it already. for the most part, ne's abstract view of the world leads to him being increasingly fearful of the future and change rather than allowing him to try new experiences or consider another way of life. his inferior grasp on ne makes him appear scattered, which could explain the ISFP votes as for enneagram, 9, 2, and even 6 are all good candidates. i lean towards 9 because if it comes to keeping the peace (obeying his family) or caring for others (like helping intruders) he ultimately does as his brothers say rather than rock the boat. complacent, conflict adverse, likes harmony and stability. vedalia above me makes a great case for 2. either way, i don't think you can go wrong with 9, 2, or 6, it's up to personal judgement
