What personality type is James? James is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 2w1 - so/sx - 296 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, EII in Socionics.
(Spoilers) He seemed like a pretty obvious INFP? Fi users aren’t inherently selfish, and James is a pretty good example of this. Throughout the game he constantly wanted the best for everyone and did what felt like the right thing for him, following his own moral compass. An Fe user would usually do things “for the greater good” and not ponder upon making EVERY single person happy, but rather the great majority. As well as this, James isn’t too good at reading the motives of others like an Ni user. When does he even use Ni? For example, that scene when Lilly kills him, he couldn’t see through her lies but was more concerned with just sparing her life, when killing Lilly would have been “the greater good” as aforementioned. His Si is pretty noticeable as well, his boyfriend being a big motive for his good deeds, and a constant memory that James built his morals upon.
Biography
James is a main character who first appears in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season Four. A young boy at the beginning of the apocalypse, he was a member of a group known as the Whisperers. Having survived with the group for a significant portion of his childhood, James demonstrated fierce loyalty to their code, but later renounced their ways and left after his grisly killing of a dissenting fellow Whisperer.
