What personality type is Ryunosuke Tsunashi? Ryunosuke Tsunashi is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w1 - so/sp - 269 in Enneagram, in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
This one actually kept me questioning for a while, since Ryuu's Fe dominant and Ti inferior (ENFJ & ESFJ key indicators) are clear as day. However, I find the argument / idea of him being an ENFJ is quite weak because they solely observe his Fe and Se usage. Keeping the fact that ENFJs have Si blindspot (PoLR) in mind, Ryuu definitely ISN'T ONE. His Si is very strong, this man's world view is just a correlation of his past in okinawa (for example, when he saw tenn and gaku ironically said that they talk to electronic appliances, he correlates it with his grandma back in his village.) His entire "Se" persona (fishing, drinking, etc) is also a product of the Okinawan and Japanese culture. It is said that his father is a fisherman, so you know where did this personality of his come from. I don't see Ni in him AT ALL, which should be his auxiliary function if he was an ENFJ, and the fact that some people correlate his "Ni" with him leaving Okinawa to become an idol is so ridiculous. Mind you, the reason why he became an idol was to help out his family's finances without asking much help from his mother(and stepfather)'s side as he is the eldest son therefore it is his duty to help out his brothers and his father. That alone seems very Fe-Si to me. There are a lot of arguments that support his Si auxiliary, such as having his entire daily schedule written out in a journal (Ryuu biyori), being minimalistic - not wanting to be associated with the hedonistic image of his step father (remember when Ryuu said "I'm not the son of a rich hotel owner. I'm just the son of a fisherman."?), and many more. I don't see much Ne in him, but I do see his Ni PoLR, as his brain works in a ("correlating past experiences with current situations" manner, not in a future-oriented manner). Mind you if he has Ni auxiliary, he would have sensed that Torao was hiding something up his sleeve when we were first introduced to ZOOL and he would've prevented his "involvement" in the entire Hanasaki Sumire incident in S3.
