What personality type is Alluri Sitarama Raju? Alluri Sitarama Raju is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - so/sx - 854 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.
Raju is a constant planner. He has very strong Ni usage both in his long and short term plans. He uses the system to overthrow the system by becoming a part of it and feigning participation. Very big picture and long term thinker but nowhere near as much of a risk-taker as an ENTJ would be. It's his internal conflict throughout the film. Stick to the 15 year promise and the 4 year (minimum) plan or risk throwing it all away to save his best friend and the seemingly small scale what he values (one stolen girl vs the whole of India). But ultimately he discovers the value of appealing to the emotions of the people in order to turn every Indian into a (symbolic, metaphorical and literal) weapon. The Sanskrit quotes he uses in his cell are more than enough to show that he is all about the long term fight even more than the immediate battles. Even when he expects that he will be executed. An ISTP or ENTJ could make and pull off a lot of his plans but nowhere near as calmly or effortlessly. On the flipside, his short-term plans are nowhere near as effective, as with his setting up a tree to fall on the Governor's car and sabotaging the guns. He needs time to make detailed plans and rushing this one in particular with his inferior Se leads to disaster as he both neglects to notice the gunpowder left on his hands which tips the Governor off that he is acting suspiciously, and didn't consider that the one large palm tree on the road was too visually obvious to not notice as a potential trap by someone that already suspects him. This is something an ENTJ or ISTP would be much better at with higher Se informing and factoring into their decisions and plans. This is also why Buxton notices and suspects Raju's deception with very little tipping him off. As a much higher Se user the gunpowder and palm tree didn't get past him. If Raju was an ENTJ or ISTP the gunpowder wouldn't be left on his hands and the palm tree trap set would be far less noticeable when driving towards it if not abandoned altogether for another trap or another tree. This also happens twice to him. He didn't have enough time to plan to bring Lachu in to get information from him after the sudden and unexpected factor of him approaching on the first revolutionary meeting. Despite Venkateswarulu warning him he was being too obvious an undercover agent for it to work. And this results in the guard at the barricade saluting him by accident out of reflex and tipping off Lachu. Also, it took him how many times to notice and remember the paint on Jenny's car matched the paint on Lachu's finger? How long did it even take him to remember there was paint at all? Inferior Se by far. He does use it effectively quite a few times but it has failed him almost as much. (I'll add quotes here later when I can watch the movie with subtitles again)
