What personality type is Yugi Amane? Yugi Amane is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - sx/sp - 729 in Enneagram, SCUEI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.
‼️‼️‼️EVERYTHING DESCRIBED HERE IS MY PERSONAL JUDGMENT AND OPINION, DO NOT TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY‼️‼️‼️ SPOILERS ‼️‼️‼️ I don't understand at all why people decided that he is Infp. He's literally ENTP. Did you all see how he behaved when he was a kid at the summer festival?(Chapter 37-38) There is no hint of INFP in his actions and behavior. Look at his on his thinking, extroversion and openness. At the very least, he is definitely not an introvert. Looking at him as a child in some other passages it is also clear that he is not an INFP. Also, in the new chapters where Amane is presented already as an adult, he behaves like a normal ENTP. Don't forget that in the new chapters only the events in the past that affected the future have changed, but the personalities of all the characters have remained the same. Considering all the moments where it was shown I conclude that he was an Entp and remained an ENTP even as a ghost. (Not taking into account the Perfect picture arch, bc Hanako acted there in the form of Amane, and this is in no way connected with Hanako's past where he was still Amane, sooo) Now let's break it down by function. INFP has a dominant function Fi, And as we know, individuals with a dominant Fi recognize their feelings and needs well, so they are quite stable. Now compare, is this similar to Amane's behavior? Maybe. Of course, he has too little screen time to be able to say for sure, but from all the information we have, he clearly does not recognize his needs and feelings. This alone is enough to say that he is not an INFP. I don't want to get too into this all, I just wanted to show to other users that Amane is not an INFP. But I know the reason why the absolute majority attributed the INFP personality type to him. I figure, users relied only on early chapters and anime, but this is not true at all. Yes, in the anime and early chapters he does behave similarly to INFP, but it is obvious that he is shown there at a moment where it is obvious something was very traumatic (you know what). Any personality type will behave completely differently when under stress, and it is not always possible to predict exactly how! But even under stress, I wouldn't say he acted like an INFP. In my opinion, even in such a stressful situation, he acted like an тoo traumatized ENTP. He is usually melancholic, that is his character, but in the frames shown in the anime he was too melancholic, so much so that he was completely unrecognizable. I think that's all I wanted to say.
