Initially, its members described themselves as "perfectionists". The group was inspired by Enlightenment Era principles. Weishaupt advocated the emphasis on reason and education and wanted to remove the influence of superstitions and religion from society. Weishaupt was trying to change the way states were governed in Europe, to eliminate the influence of religion on the state, and to provide people with a new source of "enlightenment"." The Illuminati is definitely INTJ so1. So1 sees itself as perfect and strives to perfect its surroundings as well. It doesn't even have anything to do with sp5 or any type of e5.

Founded at the dawn of human history, if not earlier, they gather influence and wealth, spinning their webs of lies and deceit in the shadowy heights of society. Or maybe they're just a bunch of rich old men with pretensions of grandeur. The symbology has percolated their way into semi-general use, come across as refined and ancient, and (mostly) isn't under copyright. "Illuminati" means "the enlightened ones" in Latin. There was a Masonic-like organization of intellectuals which was given this name in Bavaria in the 1770s, but it was eventually disbanded by the Bavarian government. At least, officially. (Cue spooky music) There are people who fervently believe the Illuminati survived this purge, orchestrated The French Revolution as part of their One World Order efforts), and still exist.
